News Burst: World Online buys Localtel
European ISP World Online has bought telecommunications firm Localtel in preparation for launching its own unmetered Internet access deal.
A spokesman says that WorldOnline is currently thrashing out the details of its own service and that an announcement is likely to be announced within the next few weeks.
World Online CEO Simon Preston claims its unmetered service will be competitive.
Financial details of the deal were not revealed.
