Newly merged mobile telecommunications giant VHA (Vodafone Hutchison Australia) has locked in a 10-year lease which will see its headquarters move to North Sydney in early 2010.

VHA's headquarters, currently located at two sites in the Sydney suburbs of Chatswood and St Leonards, will make the move around April 2010, according to VHA spokesperson Greg Spears. The company had recently signed a 10-year lease with the Investa Group, which is developing the "="" class="c-regularLink" rel="noopener nofollow">North Sydney site, Ark.

The mobile telco will take up 11,000 square metres across six floors in the ARK building, which will be enough to accommodate around 1,000 staff, according to Spears.

Head office functions that will transition to the new location include finance, marketing and technology.

VHA recently nominated Tasmania as its call centre headquarters thanks to a deal offered by the Tasmanian Government, while its collections and credit functions will be operated from its Brisbane offices.
