Web of Porn: IWF goes global

The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), the organisation set up to monitor online child porn, is going global.

The organisation is leading the way in global initiatives to set up an internationally recognised rating and filtering system. European Union money has been made available for a joint venture with European agencies and the IWF is also working closely with the US-based Recreational Software Advisory Council (RSAC).

Founder of the IWF Peter Dawe is delighted by the new direction. "It is now a multi-national organisation dealing with a multi-national problem," he said.
