Even though I have the iPhone and other smartphones in hand, I keep going back to the Nokia N95 and usually have it in my bag if not in my hand. I like the availability of 3rd party applications and was very pleased to read on Symbian Guru that there is finally a stand-alone Google Maps application for Nokia S60 devices. You simply visit www.google.com/gmm on your S60 device. Palm and Windows Mobile users have had this for a while and S60 owners have had a very functional Java client available, that has actually provided critical directions to me a couple of times. The best benefit with this new stand-alone application is that the integrated GPS receiver on the Nokia N95 is now supported. I also found performance to be much snappier with this application than with the Java client and imagine I'll be using it more since it has traffic update support too.
