Radicati Group finds that most organizations (85%) are familiar with the concept of UM (Unified Messaging). In the past, unfamiliarity had been a market barrier. It appears that this is no longer the case. According to the study, less than one-fourth of all organizations (22%) have deployed UM, which is exactly the same as last year. UM customers seem to be rolling out UM to more of their employees than in the past, however. Convenience and increased mobility are the top motivations of UM customers at the moment. VoIP looks to have a bright future. 35% of all UM customers are currently using VoIP technology and another 41% are actively looking into the technology.
