New 3Com SuperStack II stackable switches dramatically lower the cost of high-speed ethernet

SINGAPORE - 3Com Corporation (Nasdaq: COMS) has announced its new SuperStack II 3300 switches to provide workgroups with lower priced networking solutions for support of voice, video and data applications.
At only US$80 per port, SuperStack II switches deliver Gigabit Ethernet network technology more affordably to speed up application response, facilitate workgroup collaboration with real-time file-sharing and add efficiencies to business processes, such as order fulfillment and customer service.
3Com also announced today a new warranty for SuperStack II switches, protecting customers' purchases of 3Com stackable switching through complementary access to telephone technical support and hardware replacement.
"After evaluating various models from leading manufacturers, the new SuperStack II Switch 3300XM was our preferred option," said Roger Wanless, IT project manager, Auckland University of Technology, Auckland, New Zealand.
