From time to time, I run across an online demonstration that impresses me. The demonstration must show how a complex product, such as 3Tera's AppLogic, can be easily used to address a common problem. It must be clear, interesting and leave the viewer with a desire to learn more. 3Tera's AppLogic demo hits all of these targets.

Provisioning and deploying complex multi-tier distributed applications has always been challenging and the demonstration shows how AppLogic can make this a drag-and-drop process.

While short and sweet, the demo only shows how workloads based upon standard components, such as firewalls, Web servers, application servers, and database servers, can be provisioned.  It doesn't point out that the application logic must be developed and tested, database schema's developed, etc. and then encapsulated.  I guess we're all expected to read the fine print before running the demo.

If you're interested, you can see the demonstration here.
