Because they have filed for an IPO, Skype has (finally) had to release a bit more information than they ever had before, and has had to admit a few things which I have been saying they were intentionally mis-stating for years. There is a good overall look at the filing at Network World.
Because they have filed for an IPO, Skype has (finally) had to release a bit more information than they ever had before, and has had to admit a few things which I have been saying they were intentionally mis-stating for years. There is a good overall look at the filing at Network World. Of course, my personal favorite is "Iffy Customer Count" (DUH). One more that I would add, but Skype is still doing a very effective job of suppressing, is "Skype will not comply with 911 calling requirements". I think in the long term this might turn out to be even bigger than the bogus customer count.
