UK prime minister Tony Blair and US president Bill Clinton will hold an online chat with Internet users from around the world next month, according to reports.

Although Downing Street refuses to confirm the event, it is expected Blair and Clinton will video conference from their respective countries taking questions from Internet surfers on 14 July.

Clinton held a similar conference from the White House in November of last year which attracted around 30,000 participants. Tony Blair is also no stranger to Web chat, talking to the nation in an online interview with David Frost two years ago to mark the relaunch of the Number Ten Web site.
