Acer hints at October Windows 7 launch
Company's forthcoming All In One PC, which will show off the capabilities of Windows 7, would go on sale on October 23 "and not a day before", notes executive.
In a meeting with ZDNet UK, Acer's vice president for Europe, Massimo D'Angelo, was getting excited about AIO, the company's forthcoming All In One PC. The machine, he pointed out, had capabilities including multitouch as well as things to show off all the wonderful capabilities of Windows 7.
According to D'Angelo, the AIO would be in stores at the back end of September, based on the Windows 7 technology.
When asked whether D'Angelo had just outed the release date for Windows 7, he replied no but added the AIO would go on sale on October 23 "and not a day before".
There was a flurry from the Acer ranks behind D'Angelo at that point, but what was said could not be unsaid.
