Amazon said last week that it has elected Jonathan Rubinstein, head of Hewlett-Packard's Palm unit, to its board of directors.
The addition of Rubinstein will bring a good bit of mobile device know-how to Amazon's board. Rubinstein is an alum of Apple and revamped Palm via the Pre and WebOS. Now he has a key role in HP's device strategy.
Rubinstein will get 5,000 shares of Amazon vesting over three years, according to a regulatory filing.
