AST PC ducks £600
AST is tilting at Compaq, Elonex and others in the low-cost PC small business market with a sub-£600 desktop.
The Bravo EL (£599 + VAT) is a 166MHz Pentium-based system with 16Mb SDRAM, 1.2Gb hard drive and S3 graphics. An MMX version of the processor costs a further £30. A monitor is not included in the price.
