Compaq, IBM, Dell, Acer and AST will all use ATI's 3D Rage Pro while AGP versions of the firm's Xpert@Work and Xpert@Play cards will be found in Elonex, Mitsubishi, Dan, Evesham Micros, Granville and other PCs.

ATI claims that it is the first maker to ship a card with the drivers needed to take full advantage of AGP under Windows 95.

Mercury Research expects 45 per cent of new PCs will be AGP-enabled inside a year.
