NAS the way, uh-huh, uh-huh, we like it...

A US start-up has unveiled what is said to be the biggest Network Attached Storage (NAS) device ever. California-based Zambeel has built an enormous file server, capable of storing more than 200 terabytes of data. Instead of connecting multiple file servers to one another, the company has launched a single size NAS box which can be connected to all the different workgroups inside a company's IT system. Zambeel's 7.5 terabyte system, called Aztera, costs $300,000 in comparison to rival EMC's Clariion NAS system at $82,000 with 3.5 terabyte storage capacity.
