Acer introduced a new, swanky LCD flat panel display at CeBIT on Thursday, describing it as an "exclusive design edition". The Acer Slim FP855 comes in a metallic silver case and, according to its manufacturer, will mainly be used for representative purposes such as in foyers or conference rooms.
The display provides a maximum resolution of 1280 by 1024 pixels and a viewing angle of 160 degrees. Acer claims it has a contrast ratio of 300:1, as well as a brightness of 200 cd/sqm.
In addition to a USB-hub, which allows you to directly connect up to four USB devices, the display includes a microphone and an active loudspeaker. The FP855 will cost approximately 7000 DM (£2,215).
