CNET Networks UK award winner: Credit Suisse
The IT professionals who created Credit Suisse's risk-management system have been named top IT team
The staff behind Credit Suisse's global equities aggregated risk system (Gears) won the IT Team of the Year award at the 2008 CNET Networks UK Business Technology Awards.
A group of six developers, two business analysts and a project manager won the team prize for developing the Gears risk-management system — a project of significant business benefit to the bank.
The judges were especially impressed that the team had to persuade others their approach was the best way to proceed and that the project is now being rolled out further.
