Connectix Inc. has scored a win in its fight against Sony Corp. The game maker had claimed that Connectix violated copyrights when it created a technology that allowed people to play Sony games on Apple Computer Inc.'s (Nasdaq: AAPL) Macintosh computer. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said the reverse engineering required to make Connectix's Virtual Game Station is protected under the fair-use tenet of copyright law. Full story. -- Lisa M.
