Decima: Digital TV penetration in Canada will reach 41% by 2004 year end

Decima projects that digital television penetration in Canada will rise to 41% within the next year -- up slightly from a current 38%. The research firm also reports that 37% of Canadian adults who are either definitely or probably going to subscribe to digital television within the next year say they will subscribe to digital cable, whereas 31% say they will get satellite television.

Decima projects that digital television penetration in Canada will rise to 41% within the next year -- up slightly from a current 38%. The research firm also reports that 37% of Canadian adults who are either definitely or probably going to subscribe to digital television within the next year say they will subscribe to digital cable, whereas 31% say they will get satellite television. Less than 10% say they will use alternative methods like wireless cable and a service from their local TV provider.
