Dell has recently launched a number of different printing solutions targeted towards educational and business organizations, and the key thread among them is simplicity.

According to the manufacturer itself, these intuitive printing services should be able to perform massive amounts of documents efficiently and not require any additional, time-consuming training. Thus, they are dubbed "one-touch" solutions.

Available now as a free download, Dell's Proximity Printing Solution is geared to make it simpler for connecting to the closest printer in the office based on the floor layout. All that an employee should need to do is click on the printer of choice, and that user's print jobs should be routed there permanently. Sounds simple enough, but if you want more info, check out this video.

Then there are a trio of solutions created for particular businesses. First up is the Dell Legal Print Station, designed for printing large volumes of hard copy documents, forms on demand, scanning documents destined to be delivered to courts and other networks. Second there is the Dell Healthcare Print Station, which will hopefully "reduce medical errors and improve patient care." That might require more than just a fancy printer, but otherwise this solution routes orders on demand to nursing stations and pharmacies, among other tasks.

Then there is the Dell Classroom Print Station, meant to "enhance learning" while being able to print bubble test sheets and instant grading results/reports. Some of the goals of each service might be more than a printer solution can provide, but one can dream. The legal and healthcare-focused vertical solutions cost $599 each, while the classroom edition is $1,099.

Finally, Dell has developed the 5350dn (pictured above), geared towards large businesses looking for a cost-efficient laser printer that performs fast. For example, the 5350dn can print up to 50 single-sided pages per minute with a resolution up to 1200x1200 dpi. Along with printing crisp graphics and text, buyers can add on options like a wireless/Gigabit card, more memory for larger print jobs, a staple finisher and your basic input/output paper tray.

The Dell 5350dn is available now, starting at $1,519.99 with a standard 3-year limited warranty. Businesses can boost this up to five years total.
