Deutsche Bank signs support deal with Getronics

No amounts given for five-year contract...

Outsourcing firm Getronics has won a five-year contract with Deutsche Bank to provide desktop support to employees in the UK and the US.

The deal for an undisclosed sum extends a three-year relationship between the companies, where Getronics supported the bank's remote users.

Kevin Roche, executive vice president of Getronics, said: "Over a third of our business is in financial services, which brings an even broader depth of experience to our knowledge of Deutsche Bank's specific environment and needs. Since our remote global infrastructure is already in place, it is an easy and natural step for us to expand the services we already provide."

Transition of existing services will start in July, with full service delivery starting in November 2005.

Last week, Getronics announced an €8m contract win with Barclays Bank. The bank is looking to replace existing behind-the-counter technology in its 1,700 UK branches with 7,000 new PCs.
