in brief Network hardware supplier Ericsson has revealed its Australia and New Zealand chief Bill Zikou will retire after just over two years in the role.
Zikou, who has served the company for about 35 years in total, will leave the company on November 2, according to several media outlets, including the The Australian. Company officials did not respond to a request for comment tonight.
The executive's successor will reportedly be Jacqueline Hey, previously Ericsson's head of its north-west Europe division, who will commence in her local role on November 3.
The news comes just hours after one of Ericsson's key Australian customers, mobile carrier Vodafone, blamed the supplier for delays that meant its 3G mobile phone network would not be completed until next year.
