Evernote showcases apps and products in The Trunk

Evernote is one of the most useful services I have found on my mobile devices and they are now showcasing third party products in The Trunk.

On my flight back from Alaska today I listened to the latest Evernote Podcast #21 and heard all about The Evernote Trunk that was announced back in mid-July. As a fan of Evernote on my devices, I do not know how in the world I missed this news and am pretty excited about The Trunk. The Trunk (Evernote's logo is an elephant) is a showcase of apps and products that were built by developers using the Evernote API. Evernote reported that there are more than 2,000 developers building hardware and software applications.

Some of these apps and products existed before, but many are new and with the focus on The Trunk there should be even more coming to make Evernote an even better service than it already is. I am particularly interested in trying out the voice transcription, business card scanning, and mind mapping integration options. The Trunk products can be browsed by clicking on the Mobile, Desktop & Web, Hardware, Gear (includes stickers and shirts), and Notebooks pages.

Did you know about The Trunk? If so, what are your favorite apps and products?

I also wanted to make sure you knew that Evernote released a great new Evernote for Android update that includes an awesome new home screen widget that lets you quickly search your notes or create new text, snapshot, or audio notes right from your home screen. You will also find that Evernote now appears as an option in the Android Sharing menu.
