FantasticOne expands AP network with four new appointments

FantasticOne, an Asia-Pacific broadband content service provider, announced 26 April the appointments of four new executives to bolster its region-wide expansion.

Teruji Mochimaru 26 April 2001 - In Japan, Teruji Mochimaru joined FantasticOne as vice president. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the media and entertainment industries, having worked for such companies as Polygram GMBH/Polydor K.K., CBS/Fox Video (Far East) K.K. and Japan Satellite Broadcasting. His most recent position was managing director at Time Warner Entertainment Japan/Warner Brothers International Television, and executive vice president and senior vice president of Programming at DirecTV International.

Trevor Lewis Trevor Lewis is the new vice president of FantasticOne in Korea since January. He is the company's primary liaison and business development driver in the burgeoning Korean broadband market. Having lived and worked in Korea for more than five years, Lewis brings both managerial and venture capital experience, as well as fluency in the Korean language, to the FantasticOne team. He has been a director of Strategic Planning for Streambox, a Seattle- and Seoul-based solutions provider in the broadband delivery market and an associate at EKOS, a Korea-based investment firm focused on technology start-ups.

Rosa Li Rosa Li was appointed senior strategic consultant for FantasticOne in Taiwan and Hong Kong in January 2001. She will advise on the company's content, and marketing and development strategies for both the Taiwan and Hong Kong markets. Li previously worked with Shaw Media Ltd in Hong Kong as senior vice president, overseeing all areas of Shaw Media's business development efforts. She also initiated the creation of a pan-Asian film fund and developed a nation-wide syndication deal in China, which resulted in the distribution of a 28-episode drama series to over 150 television stations in that country. She has also held the position of general manager for the AXN Channel (Sony Pictures Entertainment) as well as business development manager with Pearson Television Asia in Hong Kong.

Jami Yang Focusing on the Taiwan market, Jami Yang brings more than 15 years of media and entertainment experience to her role as the head of the company's business development efforts in Taiwan, which she undertook in January. Yang started her media career as international marketing manager at Siegfried Enterprise in Taiwan, the local licensee of Polygram Records. Yang also spent three years as marketing director of the Champ Production Company, a Taiwan-based record label, licensing and acquiring international music rights from around the world.

Formed in April 2000, FantasticOne is a joint venture between The Fantastic Corporation, a Swiss-based provider of broadband software solutions and SPH AsiaOne Ltd., the Internet arm of publishing and media group Singapore Press Holdings.
