Fujitsu's PC onslaught paying off

Fujitsu's intense marketing activity for its PC division seems to have yielded positive results.

The Japanese giant which owns two former name brands in PCs, ICL and Nokia, said today it shipped 319,000 PCs in the October-December 1997 quarter in Europe, up a whopping 78,000 (32 per cent) on its previous best Q4.

Total year on year growth is 27 per cent, the firm said.
