APC by Schneider Electric plans to ship new applications in its InfraStruxure Management Software product line that provide additional forecasting and insights with respect to energy efficiencies.

The products can be integrated into a variety of enterprise systems and network management software platforms. Due to ship in January 2010, the products include InfraStruxure Energy Efficiency, InfraStruxure Operations, InfraStruxure Central 6.0, InfraStruxure Capacity 6.0, and InfraStruxure Mobile 6.0.

Here are some feature highlights:

  • InfraStruxure Energy Efficiency focuses on providing perspective into current and historical data about your data center's power usage effectiveness (PUE) ratio. It can highlight when efficiency slips or how it might be improved.
  • InfraStruxure Operations offers a view into various data center devices and their physical location, and allows you to figure out how moving certain technologies around might improve PUE. It also lets you calculate PUE on a daily basis.
  • InfraStruxure Central 6.0 allows organizations to more closely monitor and recalibrate the power quality and usage settings on various network-connected devices. It works closely with PowerLogic ION-Enterprise, which comes from another Schneider Electric division.
