Global semiconductor market will grow 3.4% in 2005

The global semiconductor industry is expected to grow at a sharply slower pace in 2005, with revenues up only 3.4%, after a 23.9% hike in 2004. Gartner predicts revenues will total $227.6 bln this year after $220 bln in 2004.
