The Wall Street Journal's online edition has just posted a story attesting that You Tube is in talksto be acquired by Google.

Said to be at a "sensitive stage," the negotiations are reportedly in the $1.6 billion acquisition range.

I would not be surprised. In fact, I openly speculated on such a move in an earlier post entitled One of these six companies will buy YouTube.

In that post I wrote:

Google’s videos are receiving signficant promotion, and the addition of YouTube would help there as well. Also, consider what the integration of Google’s search utilities and YouTube content could offer.

I received a lot of guff, but I just might be right.

Firing up the neh-neh machine. Not my most graciously accomodating side, but sometimes it is hard to be humble.
