Hitachi nabs a Legend

Legend, an IT component distributor, will offer the full range of Hitachi hard disk drives and channel partners will have greater access to Hitachi's product line, which ranges from 1-inch Microdrive digital media to 3.5-inch Ultrastar drives for enterprise applications.

"Hitachi's strategic relationship with Legend will allow us to strengthen our presence in the Australian market by delivering storage solutions to customers across a broad range of traditional and non-traditional segments," Pete Andreyev, sales vice president at Hitachi Asia-Pacific, said in a statement.

Hitachi is also launching channel initiatives in Australia, including a Strategic Partner Program that offers training, support and financial incentives for systems integrators.
