I'm more than usually out of touch...

The local cable company, which provides the internet service to my home, is busily digging up its lines around here. As a result the connection has been cut twice in the last two days and more surprises are expected - so if I don't respond to comments (or even fail to post) between now and sometime toward the middle of next week... please blame the local (skilled) labor shortage.

Oh, and the telco backup? They share some of the trenchs...
