Telco and IT services provider Inabox has appointed Anittel's CEO Vincent Pesquet to the chief operating officer role, as it dissolves the CEO Anittel role.
Under the new role, Pesquet will be responsible for leading the sales, marketing, and operational teams for both the direct and indirect channels. Prior to joining Inabox Group as CEO of Anittel, Pesquet held leadership roles at Coca-Cola Amatil and Fosters Group.
Inabox managing director and CEO Damian Kay said the appointment is part of the company's decision to move the business to be an integrated communications business.
"Today's market is calling for integrated ICT solutions that are scalable. This involves having a single point of leadership across both our direct and indirect (wholesale) channels to ensure we are leveraging the best from our portfolio of products and services to provide the best solution," he said.
Inabox acquired Annitel in November 2014, as part of a AU$9.88 million deal. Anittel, however, continued to operate under the same brand.
The acquisition left Inabox in the red during its 2015 full year results, when the company reported a net loss of AU$351,000, down 132 percent year over year from AU$1.068 million in profit announced in 2014, and earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) at AU$1.877 million, a 22 percent drop year on year.
At the time, Inabox said excluding the money spent on the Anittel purchase, underlying EBITDA had increased by 5 percent.
During last year, Inabox secured contracts with 12 new customers, which it said would translate into AU$4.25 million in revenue over the next three years.
