Technology stocks gave up their gains at midday Friday as profit warnings from Palm and Dell put a damper on the week's Fed enthusiasm.

The Nasdaq slid 3.52 to 2,190.16, and the Dow Jones industrial average fell 34.48 to 11,214.10.

After rallying for most of the week due to investors' celebration of the Federal Reserve's interest-rate cut Tuesday, technology stocks finally turned downwards Friday, unable to sustain their enthusiasm. Full story. --Tiffany Kary, ZD Inter@ctive Investor
