AT&T is maintaining its exclusive grip over the iPhone 4 - at least until that day when Apple announces a Verizon partnership finally arrives.

But our comrades in Canada and the United Kingdom will have plenty of choices when the iPhone 4 finally ships.

When it launches in the U.K. on June 24 (along with the US, France, Germany and Japan), Britons will have a choice between the three biggest carriers in the country: O2, Orange UK and Vodafone. Canadians, likewise, will also have three choices available to them: Rogers, Telus and Bell.

The downside is that our neighbors to the north will have to wait just a little bit longer as Canada is grouped into the second round of the iPhone 4's international release in July (unless they feel like taking a road trip).

As for the other June 24 recipients, Orange France normally has the threshold over the iPhone (and now the iPad), although they haven't published anything on their website yet in regards to the iPhone 4. They did just launch the iPad, so it would be surprising if they managed to lose iPhone exclusivity to SFR or Bouygues Telecom.

Softbank will continue to sell the iPhone in Japan, as will T-Mobile (owned by Deutsche Telekom) in Germany.

It's amazing how (a few) other countries have so many service provider choices, and we're still complaining and spreading rumors about getting at least one other option stateside.
