It just works ... NOT! Apple's 27-inch iMac woes continue

It seems that Apple has once again failed to fix the screen flickering problem that's plaguing the flagship 27-inch iMac line.

On Monday Apple released its second firmware update in an attempt to cure the issues that customers are reporting on Apple's support forum, but forum chatter following the release of the patch, along with reports I'm getting via email, seem to indicate that the intermittent problem remains unfixed.

It also seems that Apple has temporarily stopped selling the 27-inch iMac. On Apple's online store, the 21.5-inch iMacs are available to ship within 24 hours, while the 27-inch varieties are indicated to ship in two weeks.
