Absurd US case labelled absurd by US judge - who said they don't know the meaning of irony...

A New York judge has dismissed an investment lawsuit against finance house Morgan Stanley and internet analyst Mary Meeker, calling it 'gross and unrestrained'. The lawsuit claimed that Meeker, dubbed 'the Queen of the internet' by embittered shareholders, artificially bumped up the share values of eBay, Amazon and Lastminute by issuing overly positive stock recommendations. Judge Milton Pollack threw out one lawsuit brought against Morgan Stanley and Meeker by shareholder Mark Thompson, but the ruling effectively cancels out five similar lawsuits against the company. Pollack said the lawsuit was "hopelessly redundant, argumentative and has much irrelevant and inflammatory material". Shareholders have been granted 30 days to refile 'proper allegations'.
