Last Polaroid cameras and film to be sold at Urban Outfitters, hipsters rejoice

I don't know what's more upsetting, the fact that Polaroid is done producing the instant film and cameras, or the fact that their last breath of life will be sold at Urban Outfitters. If you're not familiar with "Urban" -- as frequent shoppers call it for short -- it is a retail store that sells trendy, over-priced clothes for hipster kids to spend all their parents money on, and still leave looking like they bought their jeans at Good Will.

But, I can't harsh on it too much since it will be the only retail location to sell the 700 hand-numbered deadstock Polaroid kits.

We were all sad with last year's news that Polaroid had to stop making its trademark product due to lack of sales. But, thanks to the Impossible Project, a group which bought all of Polaroid's machinery and production equipment in hopes to bring the cameras back in 2010, the very last of the original film, along with Polaroid ONE600 cameras, will now be sold at Urban starting tomorrow, August 21.

The pricing of the package is unknown, but knowning Urban, it will probably cost a pretty penny. More details to come.
