Strengthening professional talent levels is identified as the top 2005 recruitment issue by almost 80% of employers surveyed by InSearch Worldwide. Developing an effective talent sourcing strategy is the most critical recruitment initiative identified for 2005 by 70% of employers. Current recruitment activities are spread among an array of channels with job boards representing the source for about 22% of professional level hiring in 2004. Employee referrals represented 19%, search firms 18%, internal recruiters 17%, corporate career web sites 17%, and contract recruiters 6% of professional level recruitment sources. Employers plan to further increase sourcing via employee referrals and corporate career web sites in 2005.
