As expected, IBM veteran Cliff Reeves joined Microsoft Corp. (msft) on Monday as vice president of marketing for Windows .Net Server. The 51-year-old Reeves, who worked for IBM and Lotus for 30 years, had retired from Lotus in January. Reeves will lead marketing efforts for Windows 2000 Server, Systems Management Server, Terminal Services and the forthcoming Microsoft Operations Manager. Reeves replaced Jim Ewel, the former Windows marketing VP, who left the company in January. -- Mary Jo Foley, ZDNet News
