MS to host WinHEC 98 in March

Microsoft will host the next Windows Hardware Engineering Conference (WinHEC) in Orlando, Florida from March 25-27, the firm said.

Established as a key showcase for Windows hardware developers, WinHEC 98 will spotlight Windows 98 and Windows NT 5.0 for over 3,500 attendees.

Keynotes will be given by Bill Gates, chairman and CEO, and Jim Allchin, senior vice president of the personal and business systems group.

Exhibitors will include the 1394 Trade Association, AMD, Altec Lansing, ATI, Creative Labs, Cyrix, NeoMagic, Spatializer Audio Laboratories and Texas Instruments.
