In Monday's Times, Bezos talks of Amazon's plans to bring its US strategy of selling all sorts of goods, including videos, electronics and toys, to the UK. However, Bezos said the move might not come for at least a year.

Amazon has already begun selling music and holding auctions in the UK, and recently brought over zShops, allowing individuals to set up shops on Amazon's site. Dixons, which owns the Dixons, PC World, Link and Currys chains, already sells electronics through its own site and through Open, the interactive-TV venture partly owned by BSkyB.
