AOL confirmed today that it is testing a new pricing package to give subscribers free telephone calls when accessing the service. Although the company will say little about the package, it is expected to announce free access calls using 0800 numbers next week.

AOL confirmed today that it is testing a new pricing package to give subscribers free telephone calls when accessing the service. Although the company will say little about the package, it is expected to announce free access calls using 0800 numbers next week.

AOL, a joint venture between America Online and Germany's Bertelsmann AG, plans to offer the free calls to customers paying a monthly fee of £14.99.

An AOL spokesperson said major announcements on pricing, including 0800 deals and e-commerce would be made by AOL next week
