News Burst: Security firm RSA falls foul to DNS hack

Another Web attack, this time on encryption security firm RSA

The Web site of Internet security company RSA has been effectively defaced by computer criminals apparently keen to make a point about the insecurity of DNS (Domain Name System) authentication.

The defacement adds to the argument that, as was pointed out by the recent spate of distributed DDoS (distributed denial of service) attacks, there are major Internet security issues that need resolving.

According to security and encryption expert Brian Galdman, the culprits appear to have gained access to as high level DNS server rather than broken into the server that hold the page itself.
