Novell has announced an e-government partnership agreement with Bracknell Forest Borough Council to deliver council services online to over 110,000 local citizens.

Novell, which has its UK headquarters in Bracknell, is collaborating with software developer Metastorm on the pilot project, which will go live in October, and is due for final completion by early 2001. The scheme will allow citizens online access to Bracknell Forest local government services. Using a personal digital identity code, users will be able to track the progress of planning applications and manage their personal tax accounts.
