Do not deliver before: 5 September 52002...

Most email packages let you chose when you send your emails, whether it's right now, tomorrow morning or in a week's time. None, however, can do what a satellite-based project plans to do - deliver your electronic messages in 50,000 years time. The KEO programme is planning to send the satellite capsule filled with up to six million email messages into orbit at the end of 2003, according to Reuters. Before then KEO will be giving people around the world the opportunity to submit messages for their relatives of the future. The satellite capsule weighs 220lb and has in-built shields to protect it from shocks, cosmic debris and meteorites. For more information see: http://www.keo.org
