NT Option Pack targets Web servers

Microsoft said today its Option Pack for Windows NT 4.0 has been released to manufacturing.

The firm said that the Pack helps implement its Distributed interNet Applications (Windows DNA) architecture, and adds more meat Web and distributed application services.

New features include Internet Information Server 4.0, Transaction Server 2.0, Message Queue Server 1.0, Certificate Server 1.0, Internet Connection Services for RAS, Site Server Express, Internet Explorer 4.01 and Service Pack 3, all for NT Server, as well as Personal Web Server 4.0 for NT Workstation and Microsoft Windows 95.
