Graphics cards based on nVidia's latest 3D graphics processing unit (GPU), the GeForce2 Ultra, will be available from Creative Labs next month amid a flurry of marketing hype announcing the unit as the fastest ever.
The GPU, launched Tuesday, uses 64Mb of double data rate RAM (DDR SDRAM) running at 460MHz and can render one billion pixels per second.
Creative hasn't released details of UK pricing for cards based on the chip but nVidia estimates that US prices will be around $499.
