PC Card connects Zip drives to notebooks

PC Card specialist Portable Add-ons (PAO) has released a new line of low-cost products including one for linking mobile PCs to Iomega Zip and Jaz drives. PAO's Basics range is kicked of with a SCSI card and game port card and PAO says all cards in the range will support advanced power management and auto-install software.

PC Card specialist Portable Add-ons (PAO) has released a new line of low-cost products including one for linking mobile PCs to Iomega Zip and Jaz drives. PAO's Basics range is kicked of with a SCSI card and game port card and PAO says all cards in the range will support advanced power management and auto-install software.

The Basics SCSI Adapter (£99 + VAT list) can hook up as many as seven devices although the Guildford, Surrey-based distributor expects the card to appeal mostly to Iomega users who need a connection on thre road. The Basics Gameport (£69 + VAT list) allows joysticks and other DB-15 game peripherals to be connected. A shrink-wrapped Gamepack (£99 + VAT list) version is also available with joystick and games CD-ROM.
