3D technology is one of the biggest trends in gadget news this year. While a lot of people might have written it off initially, as 3D displays find their ways into more living rooms and on computers (particularly useful for gaming), it seems 3D might be here to stay.

Digital camera manufactures have also jumped on to the 3D bandwagon, starting with Fujifilm and the Real 3D W1 last year, and news that Sony is also launching its own 3D point-and-shoot camera. However, these pocket cameras are considerably more expensive, and they're probably only very useful if you have 3D screens or printers to go with them. Also, the technology is very new, and perhaps it would be wise to wait on buying one until the technology has improved and the price point goes down - if that happens.

So how do you feel about 3D digital camera technology?
