Psion announced on Thursday that the planned IPO of the Symbian consortium would be delayed well beyond mid-2001. In August Psion had announced that the IPO would take place as early as mid-2001.

Psion announced on Thursday that the planned IPO of the Symbian consortium would be delayed well beyond mid-2001. In August Psion had announced that the IPO would take place as early as mid-2001. Psion had said that a team was being created to take the company public and that Symbian was moving from being solely an R&D lab into a "real company," according to David Levin, Psion's chief executive. -- Richard Shim, ZDNet News
