Verizon is showing a customer with an order in for a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 equipped with LTE that the order should be filled on July 26. The carrier has not officially stated when the LTE Tab would start shipping other than indicating during a recent financial call that it “is expected to launch by the end of this month.”
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is currently the thinnest and lightest 10-inch tablet on the market. The inclusion of LTE will make it the fastest connected tablet. Meanwhile, those who bought the Verizon Motorola XOOM tablet early this year are still waiting for the promised upgrade from Motorola to add LTE capability. Those owners must be a little miffed if the just released Tab hits customer hands first.
