SGI announces three strategic appointments

SGI, a provider of modular high-end servers and graphics computing, announced three new appointments.

Lawrence Lee, a former Oracle sales manager has been appointed general manager of SGI Singapore. Vincent Ong and Laurent Herviou have also been promoted to business development manager for Telecom/Media & Storage, Asia Pacific and Asia Pacific manager for SGI remanufactured Products Group respectively.

Lawrence Lee Lee brings 15 years of experience to SGI, including e-learning, workforce retraining, quality assurance, sales management and IT consulting positions with companies such as Bull HN, Lockheed, IBM and Oracle Corporation.

Lee graduated with an MSc in Analysis and Design of Management Information Systems from the London School of Economics in 1983. He has led a team in drafting the International Software Engineering Standards on behalf of the National Information Technology Standards Committee (SISIR-NCB) in 1993.

Laurent Herviou Herviou joined SGI in 1999 and subsequently took on the role of marketing operations manager for the UK and Northern Europe. Prior to joining SGI, he held a number of sales/marketing and management roles with Maritz Marketing Research (UK), The French Futures & Options Exchange (MATIF-Paris), and Martin Baker Aircraft Ltd (UK).

Laurent earned a Masters Degree in International Marketing from l'E.S.C.E. Paris (Ecole Superieure du Commerce Exterieur) and he also holds an Honours Degree in International Business from the French Ministry of Education.

Vincent Ong Ong has 16 years of IT experience. Prior to joining SGI Singapore, he has worked in MNCs such as Digital Equipment Corporation, Bull HN and Wang Computers. He obtained his Business Administration Degree from the National University of Singapore.
